Request to split a thread

Postby Damadmoo » Sat Oct 27, 2007 7:29 pm

Could someone of the moderators/administrators please split the following thread?

http://www.zealotsofshiverpeak.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1361

I would like the last 5 posts of it (the ones about the alliance commitee) to go into a new thread. The thread could be called something like "Why is the alliance committee there" or something in that direction. It is one of the issues of this alliance but it should not go in the thread it is in at the moment. I am sorry for posting it right there. The thing that should be handled in the above thread should be the biggest problem the alliance currently has. And that is the respect issue.

Thanks in advance.

Any administrator on a PHPBB board can do that...

Here a short tutorial about how to do that:

1) Go to the thread you want to split (http://www.zealotsofshiverpeak.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1361)

2) Scroll all the way to the bottom and choose "You can moderate this forum"

3) Select the thread you want to split again (from the page you just got)

4) Now you get on a page where you can give a new topic title for the posts you are going to split. And you can select the way how you want to split.
There are basically 2 ways.
1: Split selected posts - Just select all the posts you want to split manually
2: Split from selected post - Select the first post you want to split to a new thread and all posts after this post will be moved as well.

Sidenote: this was all out of my head so some things might be named slightly different. But it should be clear enough to use :)
